Manurewa Netball Complex Redevelopment

Sadowitz & Sons provided professional Quantity Surveying services for the redevelopment of the Manurewa Netball Complex, supporting the project from concept design through to contractor procurement.

The project comprised the reroofing of the existing indoor netball courts, demolition and reconstruction of the existing storage facility, construction of new accessible stairs, mezzanine modifications, mechanical ventilation upgrades, replacement of internal ceilings and wall linings, together with associated external works and accessibility improvements.

The redevelopment is to be undertaken within a live operational sporting facility, requiring careful staging to ensure the wider Manurewa Netball Complex remains operational throughout construction. The works are programmed to maintain clear separation between public and construction areas, preserve safe access and egress, and facilitate staged handover of the indoor netball courts ahead of completion of the new storage facility.

Our involvement commenced at Concept Design, providing cost planning and estimating through each design phase to Detailed Design. We also developed value engineering options to assist the design team in achieving the project budget without compromising functionality or quality. During procurement, we completed a comprehensive tender review and evaluation, providing independent advice to support contractor selection and value for money.
